Apologies for the punworthy title of this post - I know, I know.
I have to say that I have enjoyed the process of creating my VLE for this assignment. Through trial and error, and by reading up on the theory behind e-learning and VLEs, I think that I have a far greater understanding of what makes an effective VLE, and have already begun to think about how I can improve the content and how it is presented for future learners.
I would have really liked to have been able to trial it with some of my learners, but this proved to be impossible, due to them having a plethora of deadlines and exams to prepare for. Maybe this module could be delivered earlier in the course in future, to allow this to happen at a more convenient time? Food for thought for the course organisers perhaps? Nevertheless, I have included interactive elements, such as TodaysMeet rooms and Padlet walls which could be used to facilitate interaction and discussion. There is also a Facebook page set up, which could be used if the VLE takes off in the future.
I am going to show the VLE to my mentor and other lecturers at my placement, to see if I can get some constructive feedback on how it can be improved. Who knows? Maybe this VLE could take off as a business-specific platform, running alongside the college's Moodle site. It certainly has some advantages over Moodle, particularly in terms of interactivity and provision of resources. Whatever happens, this module has given me the opportunity to gain skills which will travel with me throughout my career.

I think that it is a shame that you didn't use this with your learners as it really would be a value added package, not something extra for them to do, but extra support for them. You should utilise it next year, it is fabulous and it would be criminal not to use it. Use it from the start, refer to it tell them that it is their space and that they can take ownership of it. As you say in your essay, a shift in the role of the teacher and the learner.
