I've taken the plunge as part of my continuing university education - I have just embarked upon a PGCE in PCET training course at the University of Wales Trinity Saint David Swansea campus, which includes an ICT module. This blog is part of the assessment criteria for the module and will also be used as a place to record any thoughts and observations I have as the course progresses.
In addition to being a mature student, I am a single mother of two boys, aged 17 and 11. This brings a whole new set of challenges and demands which need to be satisfied alongside the academic requirements of the course. Time management will be crucial, even more so when the supervised teaching placement begins in November.
I am lucky that my children are so understanding and supportive as I undertake this journey. It,s been a long and arduous one so far, but this course will provide me with the skills to be able to grasp the opportunities that become available and make a better life for us all.

Thank you - I hope that you will find something of interest during your visits. Initially, I struggled with the idea of blogging, and still do to a degree. I am starting to feel more comfortable with the process, and can see how I can use this medium to communicate more effectively with others.
